Drew is a sweet, fun-loving seven year old boy who was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease at the age of two and, more recently, diagnosed with a very rare form of leukodystrophy, called H-ABC Leukodystrophy.
So, what can we do to help Drew who is affected by these diseases with no cures? We help Drew by supporting his family to keep him as healthy and happy as possible for as long as possible. We help Drew by funding researchers and doctors such as Dr. Vanderver and her team at the Leukodystrophy Center of Excellence at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) who have already started exploring gene therapy to treat this disease. We support Drew by funding therapies and frequent trips by his family to Philadelphia, where he will continue to be treated by experts in this field. We help Drew by following along closely, praying, and rallying around this family.
There is just something so special about Drew. Anyone who has ever been around him knows this to be true. He touches people's lives everywhere he goes. He is a very happy little boy and his parents intend on giving him the best life possible moving forward in faith, science, and hope.
We appreciate your constant love, prayers, and support to help this special little boy. Thank you!
